Most of you reading this probably already know me, but on the slight chance that this reaches someone outside that circle, my name is Ryley Siclair. I’m a 25-year-old who recently moved to Denver with my corgi Monty and am navigating the world of being single, living in a new city, and all the things that come along with life. I’m originally from Washington (I think I’ll always be a PNW girl at heart), moved to Missoula, Montana for school (Go Griz!) where I studied English with a concentration in Creative Writing along with Social Media Marketing. I moved back home for a few years and recently went through a huge life cycle of change, pushing me to make the recent move to Denver.
I’ve always had a passion for writing and creating for as long as I can remember. School had always been the motivating force, pushing me to create on a deadline, whether I was in the mood or not. I’ve realized since graduating, I haven’t prioritized writing and creating with the same sense of urgency. This blog is something I’ve always talked about doing, but deep down was always procrastinating or making up excuses as to why I wasn’t, which really boiled down to fear. I’m so happy to finally push myself and share all my thoughts – as random and jumbled as they might be – and finally create (whether anyone reads this or not). Think of it as my journal. But who knows, maybe you can relate to something along the way, or at least chuckle with me.
